Finestar Printing has purchased a six-colour Roland 906-8lv sheetfed offset press from the United States, offering larger print formats, improved throughput of up to 11,000 sheets per hour, and expanded product applications.

Finestar Printing Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of a high-capacity Roland 906-8lv six-colour sheetfed offset press from the United States. This advanced machine marks a significant step forward in Finestar’s mission to broaden its service range and meet increasing client demands for larger formats and higher run speeds.

One of the standout features of the Roland 906-8lv is its exceptional format capability. The press handles sheet sizes ranging from a minimum of 700mm × 1150mm up to a maximum of 1300mm × 1850mm, while supporting a maximum image size of 1290mm × 1850mm. It accommodates plate sizes of 1380mm × 1860mm and prints on a variety of substrates between 0.1mm and 0.6mm in thickness. This flexibility allows Finestar to cater to projects involving anything from lightweight paper stocks to sturdier boards, perfect for packaging or specialty promotional pieces.

Another key benefit is the press’s start of print at 50mm, which helps streamline registration and reduces material waste during setup. In terms of productivity, the Roland 906-8lv can reach a maximum speed of 11,000 sheets per hour, ensuring that Finestar can deliver large-volume jobs in shorter turnaround times without compromising on quality.

By operating with six colours, the press can achieve vibrant, full-colour outputs and handle more complex designs or special spot hues. The multi-colour configuration also accommodates advanced printing techniques such as varnishing or coatings for enhanced visual impact and product durability.

With these expanded capabilities, Finestar can now serve a wider array of customers and project types. Large-format posters, folding cartons, point-of-purchase displays, and oversized marketing collateral are all prime candidates for the new press. In addition, packaging clients will benefit from high-fidelity graphics and the option to incorporate special finishes for added brand appeal.

The acquisition of the Roland 906-8lv aligns with Finestar’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. By investing in cutting-edge equipment, Finestar can provide its customers with greater versatility, faster lead times, and superior print quality. The company believes that this strategic move will not only help it remain competitive in the evolving print market, but also bolster its reputation as a go-to partner for complex, large-scale printing solutions.
